Two wheels or four?
Scooter
For shorter distances, a scooter can be a practical and easy way to stay mobile. We mainly recommend scooters to people who already have experience on two wheels and feel confident in traffic.
Rental car
If you want to explore Curaçao thoroughly – from the east to the beaches and coves in the west – a car is usually the better choice. More comfort, more range and more flexibility for longer days on the island.
Driving yourself on Curaçao? Easier than many think.
On Curaçao you drive on the right-hand side of the road. The traffic system is generally easy to understand and the island is compact. If you drive regularly, you'll usually find your way around quickly.
With your own vehicle you're independent and can discover Curaçao day by day, at your own pace.
For scooters: due to road and traffic conditions, you should already have experience on two wheels and feel confident riding.

Depending on the offer, we arrange a flexible vehicle handover that suits your stay – for example at the airport, at your hotel or apartment, or another agreed place on Curaçao.
With some providers, a free transfer from the airport to the rental office is offered instead.
